Over the past 50 years, the Hemmers family have filmed and documented the Kunas of the San Blas Islands in Panama and after many years maintaining a relationship and bond with the Kuna Ayala people, they allowed us to produce a full Motion Picture Film. The Kuna Yala Books are a added tool to help cover costs and also contribute to the Kuna schools through much needed classroom supplies. Paul John Hemmers, has had many years' experiences primarily as an underwater photographer and cinematographer. Jessie Hemmers is a native from the Bay Islands and descendant to a similar culture from the Mosquito Indians in Honduras where she relates to the Kuna Yala people and their ways of surviving in mother nature.

This documented footage and still shots are dedicated to both Paul & Anne after their passing 2 years ago, their son Paul John and his wife have carried forward their legacy by sharing 50 years of documented footage of such a wonderful tribe off the North coast of Panama in the San Blas Islands.
